Travel

There are a number of means of travelling to Xiamen depending upon where you are located and your budget. For international flights, we recommend you get to Xiamen by transferring from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou or Hong Kong. Book as early as possible as Xiamen is a popular tourist city.

Transportation

ICoN6 will be held in the Main Building on Xiang’an Campus of XMU, which is located north of South Xiang’an Road, Xiang’an District of Xiamen City.

From Xiamen Gaoqi Airport to XMU Xiang’an Campus (about 28 km), you can take a taxi for about 80 CNY. You can also take the airport line (or No. 424 bus) at the T3 airport terminal to the T4 airport terminal, then change to the No. 948 bus (No. 949/No. 992 bus ) to the Jinlin Yunxi station (金林云玺站), and then change to the No. 759 bus to the Dongyuan Community station (东园社区站) or the terminal station ( Xiamen University Xiang'an Campus station) (学校东门站) for 6 CNY.
From Xiamen North Railway Station to Xiang’an Campus of Xiamen University (about 43 km), you can take a direct bus line 790 to the Xiamen University Xiang'an Campus station (厦门大学翔安校区站) or the Dongyuan Community station (东园社区站)for 2 CNY or take a taxi for about 115 CNY.
From Xiamen Railway Station to Xiang’an Campus of Xiamen University (about 32 km), you can a taxi for about 92 CNY or take the No. 753 bus (No. 750 /No. 756 bus) from Wucun station (梧村公交场站) to the Xiang'an Xiaocuo station (翔安肖厝站), then change to the No. 759 bus (No. 790 /No. 720 /No. 751 bus) to the Dongyuan Community station (东园社区站) othe Xiamen University Xiang'an Campus station (厦门大学翔安校区站) for 4 CNY.

Note: The Dongyuan Community station is near to Xiamen University International Academic Exchange Center. And the Xiamen University Xiang'an Campus station is near to Ling Bo Wan Hotel.

 
Visa

Visitors to China, without exception, must have a passport valid for at least six months and most nationalities need an entry visa. Accompanying person may also require a visa.
Please apply for an F (non-business) or L (tourism) visa from your nearest Embassy or Consulate of the People’s Republic of China. Early application is highly recommended.

Press HERE for the list of Visa-Free Countries. But the duration of stay in China for citizens holding appropriate passports from these countries may not exceed 30 days.

Citizens of Singapore, Brunei and Japan holding ordinary passports may also enter China without a visa provided that their purpose of visit is for tourism, family visit, business or transit, and that their stay in China is no more than 15 days.
