This list includes countries ranked by the World Bank as low- to middle-income countries, based on the gross national income (GNI) per capita as calculated using the World Bank Atlas method. Low-income countries are those with a GNI per capita of $995 or less in 2017; lower middle-income economies are those with a GNI per capita between $996 and $3,895. The World Bank classifications, in some cases, include regions of countries as separate entities and we follow the same convention.
