Now Accepting Abstracts for XMAS 2025

Abstract submissions are now open for 2025 Xiamen Symposium on Marine Environmental Sciences (XMAS 2025), happening on January 14th - 17th, 2025 in Xiamen, China.

This is a thrilling opportunity for researchers, scientists and professionals to meet in person and exchange knowledge, discuss the trend, discover new insights and foster meaningful connections within the Oceanography sciences community. 

SUBMIT ABSTRACT

Initiated by the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science, Xiamen University (MEL) in 2014, XMAS has come to its 7th iteration. XMAS 2025 consists of interdisciplinary cutting-edge sessions covering physical, chemical, and biological oceanography, and marine pollution along with workshops for emerging topics in marine environmental sciences such as ocean-based carbon removal, ocean governance and sustainability, and education and outreach, and marine economy. Furthermore, for the first time, the symposium will be co-sponsored by the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO).

The biennial meeting, one of the largest gatherings of Oceanography scientists in Asia, has convened 800+ attendees from 30+ countries and regions to share research and connect with friends and colleagues. Scientists, educators, policymakers, journalists, and communicators from all over the world will attend XMAS to better understand our planet and environment.
