Transformative Science and Technology for a Sustainable Ocean
January 14th-17th, 2025
Xiamen, China
What is XMAS?
The Xiamen Symposium on Marine Environmental Sciences (XMAS) was initiated in 2014 by the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science at Xiamen University (MEL) to promote interdisciplinary studies in marine environmental science and to foster the next generation of ocean scientists. With a growing number of participants, an enhanced academic reputation, and a significant impact on scientific communication, XMAS has become one of Asia's largest and most important conferences for exchanging research on both global and regional ocean issues.
XMAS 2025 will be held from January 14th to 17th, 2025 in Xiamen, China. We are now recruiting student volunteers from universities and institutes worldwide to form various student working groups (XMAS-STUDENT), which will play a key role in conference planning and publicity. This is an exciting opportunity for students to engage with renowned oceanographers, enhance their professional development, broaden their academic perspectives, and promote the importance of marine research to the public.
